I have finished this weekend, but - as a german translation, titled "Das kollektive Vergessen / Verdrängte Katastrophen der Menschheit - The colletive Neglect / Suppressed Catastrophes of Humanity (or better: "Mankind"?), so I can not know details about the US - american original edition. It is not as volouminous as others of his books, the german exemplar I have read is paperback, 200 pages. Precise like he will be, he added many, many links to sources and in end of book is found a pretty good keyword list. His writing style is very good, fascinating. In case, I had the time, I liked to "inhalate" his books on only one seat.
For sure, some of his thesises are not welcomed and are critized by other scentists, but this is in general a view back on history facts, without too hard commentaries what it could mean for coming times.
I have read already more of his books - and I can recommend best as a true richness. Most impressive for me is his great fears for the Lords Majesty, Prof. Dr. Velikovsky is Jew. This is a late Velikovsky, the book is dedicated to four grandchildren. I see this as more truthful - on end of a scientists career many things are to see more clear in summary by his entire life work.
