Because my church does...and I'm soooo confused...

I'm the admin for my youth group's page, and does anyone know if there is a way to make the page do all HTML instead of that annyoing MS-word-like thing? Because I can't stand it the way it does now. HTML makes sooo much more sense to me!! Like it will take HTML when I do bold tags, but it won't take it when I try to make a background, and that program won't let me change the background color so the page is very WHITE.
Okay, thanks. My little rant is over now. :D

Sounds like your page setup is configured to do just what it is supposed to do. What I mean is that they have made it so that anyone can update the pages using Microsoft Word. They have simplified things because some do not understand html to edit your pages.

If I were in your predicament, I would branch out on my own and create a separate page on a separate website and link it to your church's page. Just make sure you place a button or link back to your church's web site so viewers can go back to the main site.

In that way you can be in control of your own pages for the youth group. A Blog is an easy way to do this and it gives you the control you want plus allows others to post comments in your youth group.

Hope this helps?

Smart?? Not really Lindsey!

That's what I plan to do with our church web site regarding our youth group. I want our youth to be more involved and so I suggested that a young person start a youth group blog and have the others participate. I would link it to our church web site. They can post their events and make it "cool" looking...
something that an old foogie like me couldn't design. The youth leader could oversee it all to make sure everything was up to par!

Glad to be of help....I hope you can create a link to other web sites in that page setup you are working with....sometimes it is very limiting so make sure it can be done and test before you create the new web site ?
