A good article by Keith Drury: http://www.drurywriting.com/keith/women.timothy.titus.htm

...he's just taking things to their logical conclusion. Be sure to read the whole thing, or you will think he's flipped his lid.

Ok, I fit that bill.:basic05
Oh wait, I have already been ordained once. Can I be re-ordained? Sort of like being rebaptized?

My oldest is now a believing teenager.:fav18

Today I saw an advertisement for a pastor. Requirements: All those listed in 1 Tim 3, and must be married and 35+.

Looked pretty close.

When Paul was giving instruction about orderly worship in church He stated a wife must remain silent and ask her husband at home. Paul also stated the churches had no other practice. I originally thought this was something Paul commanded or introduced as one who came out of Judaism, but Paul was later then the other 11 apostles and I now think "they had no other practice" shows that the churches followed Jewish customs of worship or paul was speaking of the churches in Judea. Likewise Paul appointed men as leaders of the church. I can't see the thousands of priests who believed as written in acts allowing women leaders. It probaly would have started a riot. Was it not common to have more then one wife in that day and age?

Well, since, most churches only want young pastors, this could pose a problem! Once you hit your fifties, you're kind of "persona non grata" with most church boards.

Well, that's only true if you pastor a small church which clearly indicates your incompetence. If you pastor a big church it doesn't matter if you're 75 your obviously a very good pastor and anyone would be happy to have you.

Editors note: this post is dripping with sarcasm so don't flame me.

Yeah, but with the help of Drury pointing the way to correct Biblical understanding the tide is about to turn! You young whipper-snappers are going to take a back seat to us geezers.
