Last night was to be my first shift to take my own set of patients in the ICU

i arrived to learn I had been floated to the
Direct Observation Unit..another ICU of less intensity

i did not EVEN know where in the hospital this unit was
located, let alone where the restroom, supplies, Med carts (pyxis med machine)
where the light switches in the patient rooms are located
(nurses want to at least appear knowledgeable to our patients)

I fussed ..and then my inner voice told me

"Judy, it makes no difference to these nurses if you are brand
spanky new here. What they will know of you, is your attitude! You can be pleasant in your time of experiencing all things new"
Now shape up girl!! you can do this. It is only for 12 hours and at the end of this shift, all of your questions will be answered. You will know where the bathroom is located and the other places also"

So I survived, not without calling in Mildred to pray for me and also my daughter, perhaps this is when i calmed down and my
dirty rotten attitude (DRA) took a change for the better??

Tanks for listening

Headed for work

" Now shape up girl", has been my motto for years.
I fast forward to my heavenly Father and all settles down.
I love your reference to your "odometer".
I always wonder why women do not have their neck tightened with their face surgery.???
