The pollen is so bad in Alabama that all cars are yellow! The carpet at church is yellow from people tracking in pollen! We've not had rain in a long time and really need it to knock out the pollen!!

Anyone else having the same problem?

We have the old green pollen coated vehicles too. Looks like they were driven through a dust storm on MARS!

We've also had the dry, itchy eyes, stuffy or runny noses to go with it!:basic02

Here in the Piney Woods of Northeast Texas, we went thru that scene about week ago. Many vehicles changed colors. I washed our van earlier this week and got rid of the yellow stuff.
We had an inch of rain which pretty well took care of the problem, so hopefully we are in the clear now.

A friend recently had everyone in stitches when she said that Texas couldn't have any flowers because our state got all their pollen - compliments of the wind. She further stated that she had seen Longhorn bees chasing their own pollen all the way to our state. :)

Today they had a report on the news in Charlotte that a man broke into a house and stole some jewelry and guns. When the police came to investigate they found tracks in the pollen from the place the thief broke in that led them to the neighbor's house where they found the man, the jewelry and the guns. The pollen here is so thick in places it's almost like yellow snow.

The weather man started laughing during the broadcast and said that he was glad they finally found something positive about a pollen count of 60,000.

I'm glad to know that Alabama is not the only state afflicted with this problem! If we could just get some rain, most of the pollen would be knock down. I'm not sure when we saw rain last.

are you any where near Gadston or Pell City or Birmingham? We have been thru these cities to see friends, then to Mobile to tour the USS Alabama. Very enjoyable time, also went to Jasper to see a friend who was a new pastor.

I live around 30 minutes south of Gadsden, 20 minutes east of Pell City, and an hour east of Birmingham.

Beth, if we are ever going to meet, you will have to come this way for I could not live in those conditions.

Who knows, Jim! We may meet one day. I enjoy traveling and seeing the world.

The Pollen is something you learn to live with. It's harder on some than others. I've done real well but did wake up with a slight headache. I'm not sure if it is pollen related or a migraine starting. We'll see.

I can always collect some pollen and send to you! (grin)
