This past Christmas season, a beautiful new holiday wreath was purchased for the front porch. About two weeks ago, I finally took it down and then, after one day, decided that I wished to leave it up a bit longer until the weather turned warmer.
Now our weather is warm, trees and flowers are blooming and it is definitely spring. Today was the day to exchange the holiday wreath for a springtime one. Imagine my surprise when I saw an additional and unfamiliar ornament slightly buried inside the wide evergreen curve. It is a robin's nest with three beautifully colored eggs inside! Baby birds are on the way so the Christmas wreath will remain for now.
Things like this make me smile and wonder if God is smiling, too.
