Maybe we should get a TNU grad to run for the White House. We've got the momentum now don't we?? ha ha

Sara--
Are you announcing your presidency? Oh yeah, you're probably not yet old enough to run for US president THIS time!

Ha ha. Well, I guess I'm as good as any of the current "front runners"..ha
By Nov. 2008, I'll be 34. So, I'll miss the age limit by about 5 months. I'm gearing up for 2012. Tell Andrew I've got a place in the cabinet reserved for him since he's WAY too young to run just YET. ;)

I'll tell Andrew. Although ... go figure ... you send your kid to a Christian college and he might be changing his goals from politics to not-for-profit work. We'll see where he lands by listening to the Lord!
Meanwhile ... he'd probably help run your campaign. He's pretty experienced with that! :)

Ah, I thought politics was non-for-profit, you know how they all say "I am a public servant" while they stand in front of their $10 million mansion. LOL
Either way Andrew goes, God will use him and bless him. Did he see "Amazing Grace" yet? If not, I suggest he go. He would find the internal struggle between a life of ministry versus a life of politics to be interesting. The man learned that it did not have to be either/or but could be both. I'm somewhat too disillusioned by politics at the national level to believe that it can be both in 2007 but at the local level, I do believe that is still possible.

Tom, wasn't Lowell the maintenance man at Trevecca when we were there? That little white house, that I think, eventually became the place the guards worked out of, was where he lived--barely up the hill a piece from our trailer.
Andrew would be old enough to run for the House of Representatives when he turns 25 years old.
Tom, why don't you mosey on up to Garner Creek and attend the Prime Timer's Retreat April 9-11? Dr. Broadbooks will be speaking and Ann Downing will be singing. Genell and Bro. Talmadge will probably be there. They were last year. And, I must say, that "anyone, that is really 'somebody' will be there," and that includes me and Dwayne and my sister Wilma Johnson and her husband.

Hi Tom,
I'll be around as in "In town" but I probably won't be AT graduation unless I'm feeling especially nosey. Aren't they doing it in the new Boone building? If yes, I might have to come see the first indoor (no the gym doesn't count) TNU graduation. ;)

Tom, the retreat cost something over a hundred dollars, but I don't remember how much. It starts on a Monday about 4 p.m.--registration.
Then we go to dinner, then a service with Bro. Bob and anne Downing. Then fun downstairs in the lodge. Then it will go on on Tuesday and Wednesday. Fun time both nights after service.
Two nights in a room with two beds, equivalent to a motel, except no phone or TV. Dwayne knows where to go on campgrounds to be able to call out on cell phone--very low ground there. Also, Five meals per person, including wife if it is a couple.
It is over $100 for couple, and a little less for one person.
