Please pray for my father-in-law, Rev. Bob Say. He has been diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer. Please pray for the family and we go down this road. Also please pray for the doctors as they decide what course of treatment should be taken.
He is a great man of God. He has been a great mentor to me.
Thank you all for praying for us during this time.

Steve, Dwayne and I will pray. We lived in the Trevecca Trailer court in the sixties when Bob and Nancy and the children lived there. So, you are married to their daughter? They are wonderful people, and we love them.

Is he related to the former missionary to Argentina?

yes, his brother, Paul Say, was a missionary in Argentina. Bob was a missionary in Haiti and also pastored several churches in the states.

Oh! We will surely pray.
We served with Bob and Nancy in Haiti. I was Director of Medical Ministries when they came to help with W & W. I'll make sure Trevor Johnston knows, too. I saw him this morning at our district NYI convention. He was there with us too. Oh, and we met Paul and Thelma in the Dominican Republic back then.

Thank you all for praying. Bob is going to have his gall bladder taken out monday morning at 8:00 am during that time, they will do exploratory surgery to find out more about the cancer. If there is more, where it orginated at and other things. The doctor's are also "baffled" because they believe he should be getting sick but isn't and his liver is functioning normal. I will keep you all updated tomorrow.

Bob had gallbladder surgery on Monday. They think that the cancer originated from there. For about 2 days he was having some pain and few complications, but now he continues to get stronger and is healing good. The doctors believe he will be able to go home beginning of next week.
They did find several tumors in his liver. They hope to start chemo. after he completely heals from the gallbladder surgery (month to 6 wks). After they begin the chemo program, it is a matter of waiting and seeing how he responds to all of that. If the chemo (and God) shrink the tumors down, they can go in and operate and remove the cancer. Right now there are too many and sugery is out of the question.
Good news is, the liver is the only place where the cancer is. So it hasn't spread anywhere else.
Thanks for praying,
Steve and Jan
