Terri, I am in Florida until Tuesday. I came to the Ft. Myers area Friday to conduct a funeral for a longtime friend who passed away.
The traffic is unbelievable. I-75 clogs up just from the number of cars.
Also, I was in a brand new Publix yesterday. It was constructed inside to look like a Sam's warehouse. It had very high open ceilings that showed steel beams and ac duct work. The aisles were very narrow. I think you left Publix, but is a new trend?

I just hate it when kids stand sideways for pictures! :fav06 THanks for fixing her Joel. And so that doesn't happen to me, why did that picture turn out like that in the first place?
Great pictures Terri!

Hi Michael, enjoy the great weather, wish your visit was under better circumstances.
I haven't been in a Publix where the aisles are narrow, but as for the open ceilings, it's usually because someone opposed the store being built so they put in what is called a convenience sized store, knowing full well that it will soon be used beyond that, the openess is to be able to stock high. There are usually no back stock rooms in the smaller stores, so they have to keep stock in the stores.
yes, I did retire one year ago next month and it's been the greatest year of my life lol. full time gramma! among other *work*, I am working harder now than I ever did, lol, but it is great.
blessings on the rest of your trip

Teri-
How did your grandkids get that cat to stay in the water? Cats usually go flying out of the water if they fall into it.
Thanks for sharing the pics! :basic01

Our doggy was so crazy - we had to close the bathroom door before her. Once she saw one of us in the bath tub, she jumped in to share the fun.
Once we did swim in a river or lake, she "visited" one by one of my family to see "are you well? I like to say just a hello." - and regularily at least she entered me, her front paws on my shoulders, her back feet on my back - and has had her fun to ride a boat. Unfortunately often she scratched me - without will.
