I guess the inspiration I got for writing this article came from a book I am reading. It is a book about Mitt Romney, who, most of you know is of the Mormon faith. Maybe you did not remember, but Mitt's father also tried a run for the White House, but it didnt get far. JFK and some others described it as " a duck trying to make love to a football." You know why they said that? Because Mitt Romney's father refused to do some things such as swear by using God's name, and I expect, he also refused to do the normal drinking at some of the high social gatherings. JFK said " didnt seem to be one of the boys." Sad to say, there were a lot of Americans who made fun of this man, almost making it into a sport.
In fact, one quote here says in other words: There are still some people who wash their kids mouth out with soap when they say vulgar things, there are still some people around who think homosexuality is wrong (and I am not advocating hatred for them), and some people are still around whose throat gets tightened up when the flag goes by.
You see, people, these kind of people are being regarded anymore as a strange, off the wall, weird sort, almost part of a cult. They are oppressive because they think the freedom of using drugs is a wicked thing, or the people who believe it is wrong to shack up with someone of the oppositie sex is adultery. These people are suppressing culture, and the new knowledge of what life is all about.
My, how our country is changing. I just heard about a couple who lives together outside the boundaries of marriage. He was doing his will, and someone asked who was going to be the beneficiary, was it going to be his girlfriend who was living with him? Gracious, no, not her. It was going to be his son. Why would he even take care of that woman who was in the same house? Sometimes I thinkthere is only one reason why people shack up, and you know what reason I am thinking off. They can get it whenever they want it, and they wont get in jail for rape and assault. The fact that God sees it either never enters their mind or their heart is so hard and selfish that their conscience is seared.
It is becoming more and more prevalent, that when people are living together, the non-parent of the kids involved cares nothing about them, whether they live or die, just dont get in my way.
I guess what they want is freedom to do anything they please and anyone who disagrees with that life style is the oppressor, the strange, off the rocker holy roller, relgious fruitcake who's elevator dont go all the way to the top or who's cheese has slipped off their cracker.
