The Palo Verde trees are in full bloom!!

Today was a day off for me -- so I took a drive and found some beautiful palo verde trees. It was SOOO windy!! I can't believe the photos turned out at all with all the movement!!

Don't think I 've ever heard of this type of tree . It appears to be a flowering tree . Very pretty . Thanks for sharing . Don't forget we want to see those Irish wolfhounds , too!

Palo Verdes give a whole enhanced meaning to the admonition to 'bloom where you're planted'. There are very few trees that are found in a harsher environment. They seem to thrive in incredibly high temps and incredibly low supplies of water. Probably, given the increasing urbanization of many parts of the Southwest, the only thing that'll kill 'em is smog.

California. You tried to describe the yellow blooms, however
i did not realize thy were so pretty. your photo skills are really improving.
