I am out here on business in San Jose, and I decided to take a road trip after work to San Franscisco in hopes of getting a few sunset photos. I actually raced the sun to the "Palace" but I was twarted by the Streets of San Fransisco and wish I had arrive 10 or 15 minutes earlier. I snapped what I could and headed to the beach.
I staved off dinner until I had my fill of snapping pictures. I have been experimenting more in low light conditions (with no flash). I bought the most excellent Gorilla tripod to steady some of my shots. Some of these pictures are noteworthy.
I have two more pics to share after this.

Hi Judy, I was above at an observation point and used the built-in 3x optical zoom lens to get up close. The wind was coming strongly off the Pacific Ocean, so my glasses got some very fine salt spray. I am glad you liked the photos. I, too, thought the late dinner was worth it.
I'll send email tomorrow.
Mark
P.S. I have a simple Nikon Coolpix pocket digital camera.

Those pictures are great and should be salable to the SF Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you. I am certain that SFCoC has plenty of tourist pictures.
I like to share my pictures. If they give you enjoyment, that makes me
happy! :)
