The 30 hour famine... I'm done!

We had 19 teens and 3 leader take part this past weekend. It was a great bonding time for everyone. We stayed at the church the whole time. We raised a total of $1,159.03

Then when it was over we ate for like 3 hours straight!

We had a presentation on an African mission, and our youth band did a worship time. Just great.... We have two teens that are on fire for God right now! What an answer to prayer.

When our teens have done this, they have actually gone to a homeless shelter and served them a meal.

And other times they had made up brown bags with sandwiches and things.

It was a hard lesson for them to be near the food and wanting it, but not giving in to the temptation. And realizing that some of these folks this was the only meal they would be getting.

I'm glad you had a wonderful experience during your famine time.

May I ask what the 30 hour famine is? I'm trying to find more things for our teens to do and would love to have more info on this, especially if it's a fund raiser. We are going to take a work and witness trip next summer and could use the help. Thanks in advance for any info!
