This is Pella Iowa where I live. I sure wish we could post larger file sizes.

What is the largest size of file that is accepted ? Does it say anywhere?

Also no one can see the photo unless they are a member. No good for visitors.

I tried looking at your photo Joel and I had to register first. I don't think it is that way with the old forum.

Seems you can! When I click on the picture, it shows larger. Though I don't like that, I would want it to display in the size it was posted right away.

Yes, I noticed that also. You can't see the photo unless you register as well. Feels like an exclusive club type thingie. I would want visitors to be able to see as much as possible before they decide to register. I see you were changing some settings.

If you go to " who's online ", it tells what each individual is doing at the moment. Click refresh and you can see them moving around the forums.

Bob, I changed the setting regarding the thumbnails. It is now at 700 as the max width and height.

800 x 600 would be the best size...thinking of PP backgrounds. No way to change that size without getting into changing the whole code of the program?

You could probably use that size if the file size is a bit larger.

Just changed it to 800, Bob. That would now be both the max width and height

I think I like it Hans! Lots of nice features. Seems fast here as well loading. Faster than the older forum.

I know it will look complicated to many but really isn't if you start using it. Looks good to me!

Got to run and do some PowerPoint presentations and slides for tomorrow's services.

Blessings, talk later! Bob

When you post, it says it is limited to 97.5kb.

Ok, I figured out this reply thing, I think.

What I am talking about is KB's. I tried to attach a picture that was larger than 100 KB and it said it had to be less that 97KB or something like that. I have to reduce the size of the pictures from my digital camera a great deal to post them. That really hurts the picture quality. I tried not to attach pictures over 100 KB on our old software but I could go up to 200 if I needed to. I just thought it would be nice if we could do bigger pictures on this new software.

I think we have to have some limit, otherwise folks would be posting pictures of 8 meg. That would quickly fill up the server. On the otherhand, I agree with you that 97 K isn't enough. We will find the way to increase it back to the 200K limit.

200K would be fine. Besides filling up the server, large files take a long time for people with dial up to download.

Joel, I'm trying to attach a larger photo now. I see the limit has been set on 200 Kb. The picture I am posting is 153 Kb

OK, thought I would check this out before heading for bed. I took this picture of Tamara on our way home from our trip this evening. I have cropped it a bit to cut out some of the background. The print copy was good. We'll see how it posts!
