A CNN story:

BLACKSBURG, Virginia (CNN) -- As pastor of Blacksburg Baptist Church, Tommy McDearis was called on to tell more than 20 families a loved one had fallen victim to Virginia Tech gunman Seung-Hui Cho.

Wow! This guy must be put together differently than me. I can't fathom having to be the one to give notice to that many families in that short a period!

One does what one must do. I suspect that all of us are in awe that a person could stand up to such a task, but God gives us strength for the challenges we face. I have always marveled at how pastors can hold up to conducting funerals, then I was called on to do one. One does what one must do.

Below is a link showing the pictures of those killed in the shootings. Words can't express the shock and grief the family and friends must be going through at this time. Seeing the faces of those killed and reading something about their lives really puts a reality to that crime.

Dave is right. When we were in Arkansas we had to talk with a family whose son had raped and murdered his 12 year old niece. I had to stay
with his wife while investigation was going on. This was tough.

I can only imagine someone having 20 families and having to deliver messages.
