Brandie Nuss and I were married April 12 in Wheat Colorado, in front of about 30 family and friends, being that this was a second marriage for both of us we kept it small and quant. We had an outdoor wedding and despite the cold and the occasional snow flurries, it was very beautifull. We were in the process of setteling into home life when this past Saturday I got REALLY REALLY sick while at work and had to come home early. I got home and then started geting sick at my stomach and had a sharp pain in my chest that was radiating down my right rib cage, well Sunday morning at about 6 we decided to go to the emergency room and after a battery of tests I was told that I needed to have my gall bladder removed (no previous gall bladder issues). Early yesterday evening I had my gall bladder removed and my surgeon who has been doing surgery for 20 years said it was the most diseased gall bladder she has ever saw. I was discharged from the hospital this afternoon and told too go home and take 2 weeks off of work.

God is good, I feel truely blessed that HE has given me a second chance. Please pray for me as I recover from surgery.

I'm glad your gall bladder held off for a week! My husband had his removed after a single attack because he never wanted to go through that again.

May God bless both your marriage and your healing.

Talk about "in sickness and in health!" I'm sorry your first weeks of this marriage had that experience, but I'm glad you're okay. Maybe these two weeks can be an extended honeymoon?

I had mine out last September. Did they do Laparoscopic surgery on you? Mine went real well. I went under the knife early in the morning, I was awake by 12:30 PM and by 3:30 PM I was down town eating. I had painful attacks for several years but they had trouble finding my problem. It turned out that I had a dysfunctional gallbladder which isn't as common. I only needed to take a week off but I could have taken more if I would have needed it. My only real discomfort from the surgery was in my throat from having that tube down it.
