There is an excellent booklet (23 pages) written by a minister which is now in a PDF format and titled Face to Face with Suffering,
Many people have questions about all the suffering (collectively and personally) in both our country and the world, and this small work gives some very valuable insight to the topic. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to send it via your e-mail.
Blessings to everyone,

Yes! I have his original version from the 90s and it has been updated a couple of times - the latest being this year. It was actually printed in a little booklet and I have given away many of them through the years. It is a wonderul writing that gives a good perspective on the subject of suffering.

Edith, the .pdf crashed my browser again, as it did when someone else sent me some forms I needed via .pdf. Acrobat Reader must take a lot of memory, or something (tho' I have 512MB). Seems things just stall & then crash each time I try to do .pdf anymore!
As it's happened more since the update months ago, is there a way to go back to an older Adobe Acrobat Reader version, and would that still read today's .pdf files if I could get back there ... where it didn't crash each time i tried using it? Anyone know what might happen ... or if it can be done ... going backwards to an earlier version?
Thanks!

Your might want to try installing Foxit Reader 2.0, an alternative to Adobe's Acrobat Reader program. I've heard only good things about it, and it uses much less of your system than Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can read about and download it here (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php). It should solve your PDF woes. :)
