Yes, that is one thing I wondered: we see the site in Dutch, would that be the same for you? Apparently, it is. I need to check if there is a setting to change that.

It is? Could've sworn it wasn't before I posted below, so went and looked again. Still saw Dutch. That's OK ... no problem. Just wondered if I missed something somewhere. ;)

I'm sorry! I changed the language, but it appears that setting only changes the language the author sees when (s)he's logged in. Well, we don't need English there :basic04

Beautiful flowers and it's nice to have you post :basic01 What kind of bird is that? I don't think we have them here is the US.

Joel, I believe that is a Black-Capped Chickadee

Here in Texas, we have the Carolina Chickadees.

According to my dictionary it is a great titmouse. And indeed, searching the net I found a picture under that name that is indeed the bird:

Looks like you know your birds, Hans.
The white on the wing does make it a Great Titmouse.
My error.
It does look a lot like the Chickadee. That's what made me assume that it was a Chickadee.
Thanks for correcting that.

Actually, I'm not good at all in naming birds, but this one is such a common sight in our garden that even I got to know it :basic05

We have chickadees here but you never see them in town. I can't say why for sure but I didn't think it quite looked like a chickadee. We have titmice too I think. My wife is the bird watcher in our family. Usually I spot them and she identifies them.

Joel,

In the Eastern and Central part of the U.S., the Titmice are tufted...like the top of a Cardinal's head...and they are smaller and mouse grey. Maybe that's why you didn't recognize it as one.
