For those that aren't fed up with them yet. At least we aren't!
Funny thing is, this town of Nieuwpoort is less than 20 miles from here and we have passed it by several times, but never went to the town itself. Well, that was a mistake. Around the town are fortifications, like Woudrichem. Looks nice.

Thanks, Hans.
That is a pretty town. Sometimes we can find really neat places right in our own "back yard," so to speak.
I never get tired of the "virtual" trips that you take us on through your photographs.
BTW.... does Hannie know you posted that picture of her in repose?

Not on your life! Viewing photos of anything 'European' is one of the highlights of Naznet here. Keep them coming! Hans, seeing all the bicycles is great and your country is beautiful and mooi! :)
Dank je wel!

Martijn, do you know if the church in the pictures is the one where Feike Asma used to play the organ?

Shame on you! He must have been the most famous organ player in the Netherlands in the last century. A pupil of Jan Zwart, but I guess that name doesn't ring any bells either.

All of these lovely pictures have inspired me to make sure my next trip to Europe includes time in the Netherlands. I haven't been to your lovely country since the late 1970s, when the Neilsons were in Rotterdam. I was a college student on a college trip and we were there for only a few days.

Well, I know them from when I was a little kid. I attended the church in Rotterdam in that time. But a while ago when we had the Theology conference here, mr Neilson was staying in the area where we live, and was attending our church in Amersfoort. So it was nice to talk to him since that long time :)

I don't know many people who know him, but I'll ask Mark Kegel. He is having this organplaying for a hobby. He probably knows this guy.

Now I am very curious.
From which college did you came then?
I know we had guests in that period, I thought from (then called) Bethany Nazarene College (now SNU)

It was the summer of 1977. I was part of a group from Eastern Nazarene College. I'm sure you were too young to remember our group.

Mike,
That was just a few months before I entered the church. That was September 1977. Martijn was then 1 year young. :)

David, I apologize for saying that you were too young. I was thinking of Martijn.
I look forward to returning to your wonderful country in the future.
Grace and peace.
