While Lindsey was working with Ebony at the theater today, Bert & I walked all over downtown Tucson taking picture after picture after picture. I won't post them all here, but here are a few. I also posted several of them on the phanfare site -- http://danagrant.phanfare.com

I hope you enjoy these. We had a really nice day. And the sky cooperated by being a beautiful BLUE today!!

Dana,

I just looked at your online album...

I can tell that you've become comfortable with the new camera.

You have some very nice pictures there!

It's apparent to me that you have a "photographers eye"...

Many people will pass by the very same locations that you did and not see a picture they feel is worth taking!

Now the question is....

When is your first gallery show?

Jon

Jon -- what is it exactly that you want from me? I can tell you must want SOMETHING? Is it MONEY? Home baked bread? What?

HA HA HA HA

Seriously, thank you so much for your kind comments. You don't know how insecure I am at taking pictures STILL!! I'm still learning the camera, believe me. But I AM getting a bit more comfortable. Your comments really made my day!!

(Now I hope you were sincere and not joking........LOL See? There I go -- insecure!!!)

No, Jon isn't joking. You're heading in the right direction! I like the coloured apartments, BTW. Very nice. And with water, I usually try to take the picture at the lowest possible shutter speed. It creates a "flow" in the water. Though sometimes a "freeze" is nice too.

Dana,

See... its not just me...

I can look at some photographers pictures and see they have a "good eye" even when they aren't technically good, but in your case I have the pleasure of seeing both.

The more you use your camera... the more you will become comfortable... the better your pictures become!

The ability to see something in a different way is what makes photographers unique, and I see that very clearly in your pictures!

BTW, You can send my check to...... ROFLOL....

Yes Dana, you have a good eye. It reminds me of a story of my dad so please indulge. He always had a camera. It was his one indulgence. anyway, we went to historical Williamsburg. My dad was taking pictures of doorknobs and other hardware. People were looking at him askance. Someone finally asked him why and he said "They don't make that stuff anymore." Then he started doing the same thing.
You never know. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
