I just discovered that I've become a pastor in the COCNC Church. :basic05 They just informed me by email but it seems they are seeking a minimum $10,000 contribution to build 2 churches in Africa. Quoting parts of the message:

"Greetings in the name of our lord and savior Jesus Christ, who has made us partners in the ministry of reconciliation, I am confident that you are accomplishing things supernaturally as declared to us by our man of Pastor Jerry Frank."

What I can't figure out is that I appear to be requesting the funds from myself because this is how it ends:

"God will bless you. How to pay for the Church Fund Raising! As the Church for the order payment of these Funds to the account and Bank will be any order Amount can be pay with the Western Union Money Transfer,Finally my beloved brethren, I encourage you to be part of this soul Church Fund Raising project and watch your life soar higher and higher. [Here follows a Bible verse]

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Remain Blessed
Yours truly,
Pastor Jerry Frank.
Electronic mail"

I don't usually open this kind of email but it came up automatically when I deleted a previous one.

Only $ 10,000? If that's enough for ordination, check it out! $ 10,000 would be a bargain considering the cost of meeting ordination requirements :basic03

AND, if I become official, I can start sending out messages just like that one and recoup my losses. :basic05

You really need to shop around. The Universal Life Church sometimes has an ordination sale. Paying too much for ordination really isn't cost effective.

Our DS just sent out a warning about this. It appears the men are Nazarene pastors trying to raise money but not in the legal way the church approves.
