What is the difference in this "How To" forum in the General Discussion section and the "How To" forum in the Technology section? They both mention help in using this (NazNet Community vBulletin) software.

Mark, help me out a bit here. I don't see a How To forum in the Technology area, I do see " Forum: Questions on using this forum's software". Am I missing something?
Now the How To forum is not for discussion, just to post answers. The other forum is very much for discussions, as the title suggests.

Help in using this software
This is in the General Discussion section.
Forum: Questions on using this forum's software (http://www.naznet.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=25)
Ask and give help for using the NazNet Community vBulletin Software
This is in the Technology section.
These are the two forums in question. One says "Help in using this software." Is this refering to the Naznet Community software or the vBulletin software? Either way, it looks liek it is saying the same thing as the other forum.
The other says "Ask and give help for using the NazNet Community vBulletin Software." In my mind, it is saying the same thing - If you have a question on how to use the software, just ask.
Just realized as I was writing this that these two forums have been here all along, but I guess when one was placed closer together to the other one, I noticed the similarities.

I have tried to clarify. The two forums do have different purposes. If we buried the how to's among all the questions and discussions, that would make it hard to find them. So we wanted a forum with strictly the how to's.
But of course we also need a forum where you can ask questions!
So I have changed the description on the How To forum, and made the setting that will require a moderator to approve a new thread. That way, we can keep a good eye on the forum and avoid it becoming a question and answer forum.

Mark, you are pretty much right. The two forums are both about using the NazNet forums.
As Hans says, the "How to" is for the purpose of posting tutorials while the "Questions on using" is a place to discuss issues people have with the software. Often the result of a discussion on the second forum is an addition to the first one.
I guess a real question to ask is why the How To forum posts aren't simply added to the FAQ. My reason is that it is a bit easier to add to a forum than it is to go in from the Administration side to add to the FAQ.
Just this morning I was looking at the forums and realized that the "Welcome" forum was not serving any useful purpose. I moved GC's official welcome post to the general discussion forum and made it a sticky so people would still see it.
I then had the "How To" forum all by itself, so I decided to put it at the bottom of the general discussion forums, which is why you noticed it.
Basically, I was just doing some house keeping. I'm kind of impressed that you even noticed!

I like the view where it shows each forum.
When I go to User CP and Edit Options, the options for the default font, size and color are no longer there. :fav03
I also wish you could make the minimum size of garamond bigger. I have trouble reading the posts done in garamond because it is so small.

I was just coming to ask this very question Joel, lol
I want to change my text size and color but don't see the option anywhere,
plus as you said, some of the text is too tiny to read
