I recently read a 2005 copy of the Reminisce Magazine. I found an article about a Nazarene by Opal Montgomery about a Mrs. Bennett. Opal was a young mother in St. Louis, MO in 1964. Mrs. Bennett lived a few blocks from Opal. When Opal's three children were ages 4, 3, and 1 Mrs. Bennett would come by once a week and pick them up for the day. She gave Opal one condition. Opal was to go to bed and sleep at least 4 hours. The reason - Opal's husband worked days and Opal worked nights. Her husband got home at 4 PM and Opal left for work at 4:10 PM. Opal got home around 2 AM and she would have to be up around 6 AM to care for the baby. That didn't leave much time for sleeping.

Opal met Mrs. Bennett at the Church of the Nazarene, and Mrs. Bennett saw the need of worn-out 22-year old woman and took pity. She did that for over a year until Opal moved away.

Opal always thought Mrs. Bennett was an angel sent from Heaven to help. She said she would never forget her love and kindness.

Does anyone know Opal Montgomery from St. Peters, Missouri or Mrs. Bennett from St. Louis, Missouri?

I thought it was an interesting story.
