This was essentially a politically charged thriller detailing the process of winning access to some fictitious middle-east oil fields. There was a good amount of violence and a very involved plot. The movie wasn't that great and essentially showed how much power and influence big oil companies have in the goings on of both the US government and the politics of the middle east.
There's no way to know which contentions have value and which ones are false.
There's a great cast, but it wasn't that impressive overall.
