There are 2 incidents now...One in Ohio where a boyfriend kills his pregnant girlfriend, witnessed by the kids. There is blood left ont he carpet so he dumps bleach on it to cover up his deeds.
Then here, near us, in Channahan Illinois, a man flags down a trucker and claims he has been shot in the leg by his wife, then she turned the gun on her kids and then on herself. But after interrigation, the truth comes out and it is that there was a quarrel, and the man shot his wife and kids, and then even shot himself in the leg to make it look like his wife shot him. Arent men just plain stupid??? Where is their correct thinking to think they can get by and not be caught and found out? Where is their thinking, is this worth life in a jail cell or the death sentence? What about the kids who see this happen...they are marred for life. Sorry folks, I have been upset tonight.

Well, I think it goes to show that sin and evil is in the world. When people live without God leading them, this happens. The pregnant woman here in Ohio has been a huge story. The woman was in an adulterous relationship with her boyfriend, who had fathered one child with her, went back to his wife, then got her pregnant again. Both persons in this tragedy were irresponsible. Neither one probably thought about God's opinion about their relationship. The man (if he's the guilty party) gave no thought to God's command about murder. I really feel sorry for the wife and all the children that have had this happen to them.:basic04

I deal with women eveyday who live with men such as these. They come in so beat up they cannot open their eyes and will go right back with the idea he won't do this again. Guess what? In about 3-4 months they are right back in the shelter. We have gone to funerals of women who left our shelter and went back; cost them their life.
Today we have 17 women and 25 children in our shelter. And a waiting list for those wanting in but we did not have space.

The same place they've always been.
There have always been some people with murder in their hearts. The very first person ever born (Cain) became a murderer. NazNet has even had threads on Nazarenes accused of, confessing to and convicted of murder.
What has changed is the our ability to obtain worldwide coverage on an instant basis. The more sensational the crime, the more it is reported.
Although no comfort to the familes and friends of the victims, the actual murder rate in the United States based on population is about the same now as in the late 1960's and has fallen dramatically since it peaked in 1980.

I realize this post seems insensitive, but I haven't been able to come up with the words to make it not so. I just hope those who commit these crimes receive the justice they deserve and the victim's loved ones receive some comfort.
