Edith gave me a great idea. Let's post our OWN wedding photos.
I'll post ours, and one for my mom and dad in the second note.

(I am adding a bonus second picture because it looks like Joy and I are about to set into a Jedi sword battle. :-)

Mark, your picture shows several from your wedding party. Of course there are two of your brothers, as well as your dad. On the ladies' side I think I see Ruth Griffin (Lochary) , and am trying to recognize the others, but they are not so clear. Who are they?

Is this Joy's home church?

Is this Joy's home church?

Joy's bridesmaids were (left to right), Joy's sister Faith, Joy's sister Hope, Debbie Osborn, Ruth (Griffin) Lochary, Veronica (Devlin) Vandervort, and Brenda (Briggs) Atkins.

My groomsmen were my brothers John and Steve, and Regino Renteria (standing in for my absent brother Russell, whose wife had a baby 6 days earlier). I had two other groomsmen (Faith's first husband Michael Maloney, and Hope's husband Tom Scheuermann; not pictured).

The church is the Butler Church of the Nazarene in New Jersey, and it was then pastored by Joy's father, Tom Crawford. My father pastored the Bulter church (older building) from 1962-1966 (or thereabouts).

Joy and I were both 19-1/2 years old (but I am younger than she by one month).

Now how about some wedding photos of other weddings?

Here are some of ours:

1. City hall (actually the hall where in 1572 the first Free States Assembly was held)

2. Church (in the Netherlands, the church can only confirm a marriage after it has been officially processed by a civil servant)

3. Hannie's grandparents at the reception

4-6 Miscellaneous shots. I like the last one the best. Can you imagine such an amazing and beautiful girl would want to marry a guy like me?

Very pretty. Hans, you look like John Cleese from Monty Python with that moustache. ;)

I was hoping to see more wedding photos! Is it because you people don't have a scanner, don't have your wedding photos scanned, or are you embarassed by the way you looked then, or now?

C'mon! More wedding photos!!

Cindi, I will see if my brother can scan a picture from my wedding. Circa 1985. I did not have "big" hair. I had longggggg hair.

I still have no idea how to post pictures.
If I knew how that would encourage me to try scanning.

We just celebrated our 25th. A wedding photo was placed on a large card and passed around the congregation as part of a surprise celebration. Many of the folks did not even recognize us!

So, I'm not embarassed by how I looked then. Its just so sad how I look now. Of course, if you had seen what I've seen, your hair would be white too!

It's not hard at all. When you post a message, under "Additional Options" there is the option: "Attach Files".

There you can attach a picture. Do notice it can't be any bigger than 200 kb and usually a 800 x 600 pixels is about the maximum as well. If your picture is larger, there are many programs that can create a new picture with a different size, but a nice freeware program that does only that is Easy Thumbails: http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/

What wonderful, wonderful pictures!

Here is John and Barbara (Hill) Bouldrey, August 16, 1969 at Tiffin, Ohio. I will have to scan more later.

Love the 60's glasses! Thanks, Barb!
And I agree. Hans does look like he was in the Monty Python troup.

Meghan Lois Parker and I were wed on May 31, 2003, three weeks after graduation from ENC.

Thanks to Mark for this challenge because it forced me to scan most of our "professional" photos. Attached are a couple of them. It also reminded me that there were four Naznetters who participated in our wedding -
My father, Dennis Scott
My brother, Jeff Scott
My college roommate of 3 years, Ryan Scott
And my college chaplain, Mike Schutz

I can think of one other Naznetter who was there:
Anita Henck

I think that might be it.

That last picture is just to prove that Mike Schutz was in it! (He's the one in the background who's paying attention to every word...) :basic05

Oh, and though I may pay for it, I'll tell you who Ryan is since his avatar doesn't quite look like him anymore. In the picture of my groomsmen and I, he's the one in the back (second) row on the very right.

The other officiant you see other than my father is Ron Parker, my wife's father and pastor at Salisbury Cross Pointe CotN in Salisbury, MD (where we got married).

I really hesitate to post my wedding photos. I was married in Salvation Uniform (black serge) in 110 degree weather.

By the time photos were taken we all looked like we'd spent a week in a steamy rainforest :-)

Not my best photos. I'll see what I can find.

BTW, today is my 24th anniversary.

Browsing some forums [usually only do "new posts"] ran across this again.

'Have a picture or two in my computer, so I'll have to post one of 'em! ;)

Looked, and I don't, either, have one. :( 'Guess it's something that went down in the crash. Have to get them/one of 'em back in here, so I can post something for this neat thread.

'Fun seeing how we all looked with those interesting hairdos from the various decades, huh? :basic05

Back again ... already found one [well, it's a doctored one that I made a frame for out of some ribbon with our colors in it]:

[oops! didn't realize it was so tiny. Will have to get the regular version of it and rescan it, I guess.
This was picked up from an on-line save that's apparently a thumbnail deal.]

You can not have both - men must make a choice - wisdom or hair.
Ladies can do both - they are able to act in multitasks - men can not.
Again the proof, Adam was just a first prototype, the much better model came later out.

Its a great picture Cindi. Seeing that picture made me remember you. Did you used to hang around Mr. Donhue's office. I think you said you were an RA. I was an RA from Fall of 1989 - Spring 1991 when I graduated.

Ronda Tischer MVNC 91 (to my right) and Annette (Summers) Bolen MVNC '93 - (to Rick's left) are in the wedding party.
