Golf, why, just never felt I could afford to pay what one has to pay to chase a little white ball on a hike.

Scuba diving. Too expensive also. I am not good at sports that involve a ball.

The first thing that came to mind was sky diving (thanks Belinda!) Then I saw the post about scuba diving. My boss scuba dives and has some beautiful pictures from different places he's been. I think that would be fun, too.

I think it's called sailboarding. They have a sail on a surfboard and skim along at high speeds right up near the shore in very shallow water here on the Pacific Coast beaches. It just looks like such fun. If I get healed I may take a shot at it when my strength and energy levels are back up to normal.

Sky diving is one that I have always wanted to try. I would also like to get into the MMA, but I think I am too old to get a start on that one.....and out of shape.....and slow....

Oh, man! Having grown up waterskiing, & loving it, this sounds SUPER! May I try it, too ... tho' you & Karen do now live a wee bit further than when I visited you last time, so I just don't know if I'll ever make it Down Under. ;)

Used to say that ... about taking a walk without chasing a little white ball around ... until I tried it with my hubby who loved it. Like it all right now, but we never even did it as much as we'd like due to the $$$ (cost more out in AZ than it did when here in MI for awhile; and then weather stops it here for a long period of time each year). Haven't even gone since Danny died ... about time.
Oh, yeah ... my "want to try" thing? Agian it has to do with the water ... I've always [since I can remember, at least] wanted to do that "swim with the dolphins" thing ... that would be a "sport," if you managed to get on their back to see how long you could hang on while they dive/surface/dive/surface, no? ;) That sounds/looks like sooo much fun ... of course, I'm a "weird one(?)" who never minded anyone throwing me in the water, having grown up around it.

Although I am from a baseball family it even costs too much to go to a ballgame anymore. When are they going to institute a low priced section for pensioner baseball fans and cut down on that crazy inbetween innings loud noise that is played with excessive amplificatiion.
