I love the mountains so much that I live in them, so for vacation I would have to say the beach for a change of scenery.

Mountains.... just where we are headed next Friday, July 20th.
Streamside Bed & Breakfast at 8,500 ft., on Chalk Creek, near Salida/Buena Vista, Colorado.

Hmmm ... there must be some water ... somewhere. ;)

Arrowhead was mentioned (by someone living there who, thus, likes to leave it once in awhile ;)) Tho' in the mountains, there's a very nice lake there. But, it's not the same as the beach ... something about that wave/tidal movement ............... a calmative, methinks.

However, when living not far from the beach out in CA, did enjoy the times we retreated to Lake Arrowhead for a weekend ... mountains ... just enough snow to play in for a day or two, then back down to ... WARMTH! ;)
