View Full Version : Problem this week

When I go to post a response to any post and click to submit, it acts like it is submitting and then stops. My post is still in the box, waiting to be sumitted. So I click "submit" again and the same thing happens.

But when I exit the thread and check, my post has been posted.

Weird.

Yep!!! Same thing here!

Yep!!! Same thing here! It also has a message at the tops of the box, saying, "the following errors occurred when this message was submittted", then there is a "okay" button to click.

At this point I am blaming the chatbox -- it is the only change that has been made. However, I can't duplicate the problem here so it is going to be hard to figure out.

Hi Barb,

I've had this problem on/off for a long time.

Well, not exactly, this does appear to be a little different than my prior problem. LOL (I don't even know what my problem is. ha ha).

That's the problem I've seen.

Same thing happened to me. Just started in the last few days.

I've had the same problem but not every time only sometimes.

Give me some updated reports -- I just made the chatbox less aggressive, only updating every 5 minutes.

Yep! Problems the same here. Thanks for working on the issue.

I just posted to a thread and it did the same thing. I hit "post quick reply" and the little arrow went round and round, but my message did not disappear from the "writing box." This time, I did not try it a second time, but exited the thread and my response was there anyway.

I am having the same problem when responding using "Post Quick Reply" button. After I submit nothing happens accept a little underlined "Ok" above the message box. If I hit "Go Advanced" and then hit "Submit Reply" it works just fine.

I will try to replicate the event and do a screen capture.

This is what I get. I was going to get a screen shot but you beat me to it. Thanks.

It worked ok when I posted this reply. Maybe the problem has been resolved.

I'm continuing to have the same problem.

With the help of the attachment I found, maybe some information. I made one small change in the setup of the forum. I still cannot duplicate the problem, so please let me know whether the posting problem is still there or not.

Thanks.

Also, can anyone who is having the "too wide for the screen problem" post a screen shot of it for me?

It happened to me again a few minutes ago, but when I exit and go back to the thread my post is there.

The screen shot is in the other forum for software questions.

OK, guess it's still happening. Makes you think you've not posted, b/c it sits there looking like "submit" has not yet been clicked, so I clicked it again. Now there are duplicate posts under each other. [over in the flip-flop/onomatopoeia thread].

So, 'not solved, it appears (about 1:15am, Sunday morning).

OK, in this "how to" forum, it's not doing that; a completed post appeared after clicking "submit." It's over in the "fun" forum that it's still duplicating. Maybe it's not universally throughout the BBS or, if it is, it's rather sporadic.

back again ... definitely SPORADIC. This time over on "fun" forum, it right away showed a completed post.

ALSO have noticed different FONT SIZES (it's smaller here than on "fun" forum ... some quirks have become embedded here & there, it appears). Maybe the "chat" did leave "chat-chitlin's" all around. ;)
