My wife brought this one home tonight. It's a romantic comedy of sorts (more a drama with quality jokes) starring Jennifer Garner and Timothy Olyphant. The director is also the screenwriter, and wrote for a number of decent movies (Ever After, Erin Brokovich), but it is her directorial debut. I'm not sure the main themes come across as well as they could have, but it's a well written movie with stellar supporting roles from Kevin Smith and Juliette Lewis.
As far as chick flicks go, it's one of the better and more thought provoking ones I've seen. There is more than the "love" element with lots of self-reflection on the part of the characters, each of whom discovers that they never really knew themselves or each other until they could open up and be honest.
The only issue I have is that the whole thing is begun when a woman loses her fiance on the day before their wedding. It just seems philosophically wrong to begin a "feel good" semi-love story from this position.
Naz summary: I don't recall a lot of swearing, and although there's no nudity, the two brief sex scenes are a little more detailed than they needed to be to get the point across.
