Hi! I'm hoping someone out there can help me identify a Yachting(?) Crown/Crest from a jacket that I acquired.

First and foremost, I have spent literally hours myself Googling every piece of information on this Sport Coat, with absolutely no solid leads at all, in any direction :basic04

Acquired from my Father's estate, I first believed it to be a typical 1970's Kelly Green Golf Blazer. It is in mint condition, made by Hart Schaffner & Marx for Liemandts, Minneapolis St Paul (A Men's Specialty Shop, Proprieter died in 1995, no other info).

Inside label also states "International Cup ® Blazer".

Thinking I'm still on the right track to date back to the 70s and some Golfing Event, I then looked closer at the crest/logo on the interior lining - It appears to be a Crown with Anchor.

Now I am thoroughly confused, as I thought Yachting wore Maroon Jackets, and most important, was an American Cup, not an International Cup.

Here is a Close-up Link to the Main Buttons (is that a J3 Symbol in there?):

and one of the Interior Lining:

Would any experts in any genre of Sports History have any clue what this jacket was made for, or what is significant or recognizable in the ornate button Crest?

Again, I have spent numerous hours already querying all International Cups, Crowns and Crests, and simply cannot place an era or Sport for this Jacket.

If you could please help me identify which "International Cup" and Sport, I would be forever grateful.

Kind Regards,
Karen
