Sometimes you want to reply to a post but you want to divide their post up so you can comment on various parts of their post. It is easy to do, but there are a few steps involved. Here's how to do it.
First, click on the "quote" button at the bottom, right of their post. That will give you a type in box with their post already quoted in it.
You need to copy the code that identifies the start of the quote and paste it into the portions of the post you want to divide out. The highlighted portion below is what you would copy and paste to the beginning each section you want to quote:
12390
Paste it thus:
12391
Now you want to copy the code that ends the quote -- it will be at the bottom of the message:
12392
Paste it where you want the quotation to end:
12393
Delete the portions you don't want to quote at all, then type your segmented replies into the proper places. The result will be a neatly divided, easy to read post. Like this:
12394
That's all there is too it.
If you want to do quotes from multiple posts, you can also do that -- there's another post on that in this NazNet How To forum.
