We rented Happy Feet (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366548/) last week and I forgot to put a review up here. This is an animated film starring the voice talents of Elijah Wood (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000704/), Robin Williams (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000245/), and Nicole Kidman (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000173/) (among others).

I had heard lots of good things about this movie, but ultimately it was disappointing. The songs were all short reproductions of pop songs with no real originality or entertainment value. The story didn't make a lot of sense and it wasn't very logical in any way. Both my wife and I were rather disappointed.

The movie began very promisingly with some humor as the young hero penguin, Mumble, found out that he could not sing like the other penguins. He had a great talent for dance, however, but was shunned for being different.

The story takes us through his journey, first of self-discovery, and then his attempts to save his fellow penguins from a food shortage. In the end, everything works out well.

The animation was pretty cool, but the movie overall was pretty weak.
