I need to replace a part on my Maytag oven. My first thought is to call Sears. Have you had any luck from another online company? BTW it's the heating element.
Thanks family. :basic01

If it is a part you can install yourself, look online - first stop, maytag.com.

Otherwise, talk to an appliance repairman. According to the commercials, the Maytag repairman is just itching to do something.

This is probably what Sears would tell you, since they are not in the repair business.

Actually Sears is in the repair business. I looked at Maytag.com. You have to call a # to get a part which would not be so bad. I think I will have to talk to a real person because my stove is 19 years old.

Sears has a service where they will ship you the part and provide 30 days of phone assistance to help you install it yourself. Last time I used it it cost about $20.

Yes, I knew they were in the repair business years ago, tho' I wasn't sure re recent years. You see, my Uncle John [my aunt married someone from the Netherlands] was a Sears repairman for as long as I could remember. ;)

Well, I finally called 1-800-4-my-home. It's the Sears helpline. Very good service. I recommend them.
