Will Smith..down on his luck, this is putting it mildly, as bad
luck seems to shadow this man. He is a dad to a charming son, age five and a husband to a stressed out over worked pessimistic realistic wife.

one liner he gives to his son
"Hey, Don't let any one ever tell you you can't do something, even me. You have a dream, you have to go after it. Make it happen"

Please if you are reading this review..and are discouraged about your lot in life or the path your life has taken. Rent this movie and glimpse how a man with nothing except sheer perseverance, followed a dream, more than a dream. He had a goal and slowly chipped the obstacles away and made a life for he and his small son.
I rarely watch movies, so I know you may have already seen this movie..and were as encouraged as well

It's a great movie, really well done. Jaden Smith does a great job acting alongside his dad, too.

This is a wonderful movie. I loved the interview with the real main character that is included on the DVD.

I liked the movie overall. I could not help thinking that it was 'Rudy' with stock brokers instead of the Notre Dame football team. The closest thing to 'bad guys' in the film were the people who stole the main character's portable bone density scanners.

I also appreciated that the movie did not portray the usual stereotype of stock brokers as cold, greedy, fat-cat banker types. I suppose that such a caricature would not have served the storyline very well.

But being based on a true story, they had to keep closer to the true characters than fiction does. Of course, all of those people are still alive today and that had to be considered, also.
