I love the Mr. Bean series and enjoyed the first movie. I was very disappointed in the second movie. It just didn't capture the Mr. Bean that I love.

A few really funny scenes and the ending was kind of neat but just not the hilarity that you are used to with Mr. Bean.

I would recommend that you save your money for the DVD.

Rowan Atkinson said in an interview that this will be his last time as Mr. Bean and that he was worried this might have been one time too many.

He said he was getting too old to be a "good" Mr. Bean anymore.

Our girls love Mr. Bean and we went to the theatre to see this one. I can see what you are saying...for adults. But, my girls laughed their socks off (along with many in the theatre) during much of the movie. It was worth the money because our family got to spend the evening out together, watching a movie that didn't make us squirm in any way. We all laughed...and we all had fun.

However, I don't think I would spend the money on the DVD. :)

Classic video! We have been using this as an opener in our 101 classes for the last 8 years. Great discussion starter on what people's first experiences of church and/or what parts of church connect/disconnect.

By the way, I just noticed your signature from Mclaren. Does that come from one of his books? I would love to read more on that thought. So much of the postmodern apologetic I hear is exclusively a critique of modernity (or a caricature of modernity).
