GRRRRRRRRRRR......
I have always worn my hair short -- at least for the last 20 years or so.
Well, I decided I wanted to let it grow some. Now, not down to my behind again like it was in high school, but just, you know, halfway between my chin and my shoulders or something like that.
SOOO, I got my hair cut several months ago and shaped so that it could grow -- and it did! So, last night it was long enough that it was driving me bananas!!
SOOOO, I went today to get it trimmed and shaped. Well, it's okay, but nothing to write home about.
I'm looking for a hair style that WILL be something to write home about.
I'm tired of this hair. Can't we just call in and order some more when we start disliking what we came with????? LOL
I just want something --- DIFFERENT. Well, not THAT different, but stylish. When my hair is short, it is more stylish. But I'm wanting a longer stylish now.
OK, I'm rambling. I'll stop.
LOL

I cut my hair in pretty much the same style for years. Short.
My husband would love me to grow it long (what is it with men and long hair) but when I do I look much older. My hair has no body so it just hangs there.
And now that I have gray...it looks even worse.

Yep, you got it!! My husband is one of the reasons I'm doing this. LOL He knows I have the option to whack it off at any given moment, however!!! LOL
And I have to admit to one thing -- I have a bit of gray hair, as well, but most of the time you'd never know it -- if you get my drift.......LOL

My grey only shows when I pull my hair back, which USED to be one of my favorite things to do with it! It is VERY fine and straight. So it basically has ALWAYS annoyed me! It is about shoulder length now which is ok in the winter. In the summer I want it long enough to pin up off my neck. The only stylist who ever did anything I liked has quit doing hair:-( which makes me sad, but it good for my budget.

Cavemen instinct in men....they secretly desire to pull us around by our long hair.
Long hair is sexxy to men. I guess it turns them on to run their hands through long silky hair.
YEAH RIGHT. How many of them have ever had the opportunity to do that?
Must have been in some movies when they were teens.
Me Tarzan, You Jane....LOL!!!

Dana.......
Back in August I made a dramatic change to my hair. After 20+ years of highlighting and bleaching, I went back to my natural color. For several years I have wore the basic "bob" at about chin length. Since my hair is fine but extremely thick, my stylist suggested layers.
If you look on the website that Belinda suggested, there is a picture of a woman and some different hairstyles that you can "try" on her. My haircut is #2. And my hair color is now "darkest brown". I have about 5 foils of golden highlights placed near the front of my face to add just a "perk". Check out that hairstyle. From the pictures that I have seen of you, it might be a good one for you. And I will tell you that it is easy to care for. I just wash it, hand "fluff" as I dry, and put in a little molding mud to get the little "flips" in the back. I really enjoy my hair. PLUS I'm just about debt free now that I don't have to pay for highlighting every six weeks!!
Best of luck! I know you'll look great!
Love ya!

Have you decided what you are going to do with your hair?
Well, I had already made the decision, it was just WHO was going to do it!! LOL
I ended up going to a really nice girl that I'd never met. What I am doing is letting my hair grow longer so I can get it styled in a long layered cut. That has always been the plan, but getting my hair to that length is a pain!! It's that in-between stage that drives me crazy!!
So, right now I'm trying to let all the layers grow out into one length. It's much better now that I had it all trimmed. I would imagine that in about 6 months or so, I'll be able to get it cut into the style I've been working on for the past year of letting it grow out.......it is a very slow process!!!!
AND THEN, once I DO get the long-layered style that I've been working toward, I'll probably hate it and get it all cut short again!! HA HA HA

There are days i hate my longer hair, it can be irritating - but i love it for the nursing. All i have to do is get up and twirl it up into something. The upkeep for classy short hair is more of a pain than the few days my longer hair is irritating.
A product that i use - keeps hair strong with no split ends (my pet peeve for long hair) and aids the speed of growth is "Mane and Tail". It is actually horse shampoo, but someone who has gorgeous long hair recommended it to me and i love it.
i am always looking for cool things to do with this long stuff - so if you hear/see anything - i am all ears.
