Windows XP Monitor

check the attachment, please.
I was gone approx 1 1/2 hours, came home and found my monitor goofed.
Most of the icons have moved, plus there's this bar on the left side, taking up valuable (to me) space.
Any clues as to what happened and how I can "fix" it?

I've done the "restart" thang - it's still there.

As far as the icons being "reorganized"...try right clicking on your desktop to bring up the pop up window that has the option "Arrange Icons By". It seems like that may have been changed.
Now the toolbar on the left seems to be all the choices of your "My Computer" file. I tried to recreate the new toolbar but was unable to. You might try right clicking on it as well to see what options come up in that pop up window.
It seems someone might have been playing with your mouse.

Just right click on the a gray area on the toolbar and choose "Close Toolbar".

That should get rid of it.
