No, you matchmakers, it's not what you think. :basic03 I read a story (http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/wfa071011_lj_shihtzus.16566b473.html) about almost 100 Shih-Tzus that were rescued from poor living conditions. Mary and I had a Shih-Tzu, they are wonderful, loving little dogs. The dogs are at the Humane Society of North Texas. If I go see them, I'll probably end up with one.
If you're in the DFW area and looking for a pet or would like to make a donation, here's the Website (http://www.hsnt.org/).

You are my kind of guy Mike. When we have wanted a dog, we have always adopted one who needed a home. The shih-Tzu is a really cute breed.

Yes, don't you think you really need two? You're gone enough, that one would get soooooo lonely ... a companion would be very nice for them. Get you a couple of little gals [for some reason, they seem to train easier, so not as likely (if in the shelter b/c of neglect/non-training) to use furniture as a target, etc.] :basic05

Of course, you rent, don't you? So, there might be some limits ... such as one pet per unit ... that you'll have to deal with, eh? ;)

'Got any ideas for a name? Of course, you may get one old enough that they're used to their name, so that you'd want to just keep it as is. [OK, editing here, after story loaded -- a breeder having that many dogs would not have been personal enough with them to name them, anyway, so guess that would be up to you afterall, huh?] Whatever, we'll be looking for pictures of your new family addition rather soon, Mike. ;)
