I guess I was not "Nazarene Friendly" today as I responded to Pete's post. And our moderator was correct and fully justified in reminding me of my words. And his words were conveyed to me in a Christian manner. I never intended to cause any harm to anyone and certainly not to cause any harm to the Church of the Nazarene. My impassioned rhetoric sometimes goes overboard. I have deleted all of my posts on Pete's thread.
My apologies to Pete, Glenn, Sharon, Scott, and anyone else who might have been offended by anything I said. I love Naznet and the opportunities it provides to all of us. The people here are great.
I think I'm going to take a couple of weeks off from posting just to let things cool down.
Thanks for your patience.
Merry Christmas

Larry,

I read that thread. I noticed that some pain was showing there and don't question the wisdom of the one who reminded you of our "Nazarene Friendly" position. But I wasn't offended. Anyone who has been in the church for very long has areas where they've been hurt, and they may find it difficult to view the situation that brought them pain objectively.

If the moderators didn't see a need to delete the posts, I think they could have stayed, but I appreciate your willingness to go back and apologize and remove them.

Just one request from me: Keep reading, and jump right back in the next time you get an urge to do so even if your couple of weeks isn't up yet. We still love you and want to hear what you have to say. For someone who has been wounded in and by the church, I think you do very well staying "Nazarene Friendly" in the bulk of your posts.

Larry, I've gone to church with you, and worked on the same district with you. I know how much you hurt. I'm praying for you.

Larry,

I don't know you, but I wasn't offended by anything you wrote, I know it is coming from some bad experiences. I sure want you to know that I like reading your posts, so don't be gone too long, your experience in ministry is valued here, and we can learn from one another and maybe help each other or others who are going through those tough times.

Glenn
