I'm new on the forum. New to the Nazarene church as well. I grew up in the Salvation Army. My parents were officers (ordained ministers), and we traveled a bit in the northeastern part of the US (Maine, Connecticut, New Jersey, upstate New York, and a brief jog out to Ohio).

I married a Catholic girl, and once we had kids, we went to Mass together. After going to Mass every Sunday for 10 years, I converted. I don't think it "stuck", though. After another bunch of years, I started going to the local Salvation Army again, then started looking at denominations to see where my beliefs fit in.

My youngest son and I went to the Methodist church for a while before going to the Sallies. I wandered over to a Nazarene church on Sunday and enjoyed the services. I think we're close in beliefs.

Anyway, hello. My son and I will go to the local Nazarene church and see how we fit in. I think we'll fit in just fine.

I think that you will like this bunch of folks.

Where do you live at the present time?

My wife Kay and I live in northeast Texas.

We're in Marietta, Georgia. We'll mark our 10th year come Thanksgiving. Kinda liking the south, but not liking the traffic, lol.

You'll see Barbara Moulton's name on the boards. She is a neat lady who also grew up in the Salvation Army church. She and her husband pastored there also and then at a Nazarene church. I think that is when she joined up with this crazy bunch. Things didn't work out at that church so they have moved on to a Wesleyan church but she still hangs around. So regardless of where you finally end up worshiping, you are more than welcome to hang here.

Welcome

Alisa

HEY!!!

We have some things in common. I grew up in The Salvation Army as well. My parents were Officers. My husband and I served as Officers for several years. We then became Nazarenes (during which time I joined NazNet). We are now Wesleyan ministers (but they still let me hang out here).

Looking forward to getting to know you better...

O Boundless Salvation deep ocean of love
Oh fullness of mercy Christ brought from above. :)
