Today I went to the office (had to pick up a CHECK -- that is a good thing).

In the lab area there were HUGE boxes all over the place -- 5 or 6 of them at least. It looked like Christmas had already come!!

My client's parents are being moved to Tucson due to health problems and will be residing in an adult care facility here. So, my client & his wife have to furnish their residences. I've been helping them find beds, bed rails, etc. Anyway, his wife bought all the bed linens, towels, shower curtains, etc., from Overstock.com. She bought some lovely items, including some very nice dark blue stoneware.

Well, the order that contained the stoneware was accidentally DOUBLED, and so she now has SIX sets of dishes instead of THREE!! And guess what, they also sent two sets of dishes that were the wrong color -- RED!! And the dark blue is Tyler's color.

So instead of sending them back to Overstock.com, I am going to buy the extra three sets from her. I had been looking for some dishes for Tyler's apartment for Christmas (he currently only has a service for 4, and I was looking for another set to match his). The color of the blue is nearly perfect and they are masculine (no frills) enough that he will enjoy them. And they were terribly inexpensive on overstock.com, but very nice stoneware. SOOOO, I end up with two sets of RED and Tyler will get the blue!! And my client's parents will get the other three sets! COOL BEANS!! Saved me a shopping trip and saved her the irritation of sending them back!!

I'm now going to look for some chargers in silver so I can use these red dishes for Christmas -- they will be lovely!

I like it when things like that happen!

So do I...and I love it when people share those types of blessings here. Thank you.

I thought of you yesterday Dana. When I was in downtown Toronto yesterday, I saw this poster for FIDO phones (do they have those in the States?).

Anyway...I had to take a picture to share with you :-)

I kept the walkway in the picture when I cropped it, so you could see just how BIG this thing was!!!!

Just imagine what it would be like for HIS owner to go 10 days without a vacuum!!! HA HA

That is the neatest picture -- I suppose it's too large to fit in Lindsey's dog-theme room, huh? LOL

Thanks, Barbara, that was adorable.

I know A LOT of people who shop there! My client's wife has been shopping there ever since it was on line -- several years ago. She loves it! This woman is the ultimate bargain hunter! My mother also shops there quite frequently now that she's discovered it. I haven't heard anything negative about their products or their service.

i don't like having to keep in the back of my mind the shipping price. *smiles*

i have even seen shopping for groceries online. Do you know anyone who has done this?
