Now that I have a cable for my old non-working {didn't for 2 wks, did a cpl of hours cpl days ago, & now ???}, and have Nokia Suite, I finally did manage to get my phone to let me into settings where I could tell it to turn off the security things that Nokia says can't be "on" for info to transfer.

However, when I tried to tell it to hook up, it didn't. So, then it let me (phew!) back in to tell it to try "bluetooth," tho' it's hooked up via cable, since it kept going around & not connecting when attached via the cable to a USB port.

Now, I'm wondering if there's anything else I need to know before it doesn't let me in again. Anyone have/had a Nokia phone, and familiar with Nokia Suite? I do now have Nokia.com open in another tab, but am not finding anymore than that I should have the phone where it lets data transfer, and have the right drivers for Nokia Suite. Well, a tiny CD came with Nokia Suite on it that said had the drivers for it on there, too.

Now, I'm just ....... ?????????

Thanks for any help/suggestions. Reeeally do need things off this phone before dumping it; I've got countless calendar entries, notes both on the calendar and in other files that I hate to lose ... while I'm at it, if it works, I may as well take the few pics on it off, too.

BUT, it's mostly those numbers, etc, that go with each "contact" entry, addresses, calendar entries & notes, that I really feel I need from here.

Thanks again.

Gina, I have a Nokia and I use the Nokia Suite. My experience is the other way around, connecting through Bluetooth might not be that easy, but USB is never a problem. I would try another USB connection, sometimes that helps. When the PC found your Nokia, it will usually install some drivers and then your connection is easily established.
