Yep. I just said to Michael, again, "That was just an awesome episode."

I agree, Peggy and I watched it. When it was over I said something similar. It was one of the best episodes (continued from last week) of a show of that kind that I've seen.
I think that part of it was that it wasn't an unrealistic plot. Several of these shows are good, but you are often left wondering how they come up with those plots.
Good Job on this one. I also think this is one of the more believable casts on these shows.

I miss Gideon so far this season but I'm getting used to the new guy.

'Recall seeing previews long ago & thinking about it. Hadn't even noticed if it's on "regular TV" (non-cable/satellite) yet, or not. Usually don't like crime-related shows, but speaking from the perspective of "mindset" rather than merely violent acts plastered all over the TV, it's something I might have been able to watch.
When's it on, if it's still on "normal TV"?

It's a very good show on CBS. On Wednesday night, not sure what time.

Hmmm ... wonder if it's late enough for me to catch it after English class; will have to check. Thanks.

I have never seen that but I watch Court TV a lot.
Very interesting and most informative .
It is really just as one can see and is good for those that have no real on sight of a prison and the solving of a crime.
I was employed in a prison but found it very boring and also sad, but mercy did I have my eye's opened.
The experience has made me very alert at all times and I am very happy I tried the job and was most very happy when I walked out of there for the VERY LAST TIME.
I wonder how many prisioners that have computers, read NAZNET:):)

Karen and I were avid fans in the U.S. but we're a season behind here in Australia, so we've still got Gideon. We can't imagine the show being as good without him. I hope he works again. So many TV people who leave a successful TV series are never heard from again.
They've only just started sending TV shows to Australia electronically instead of shipping film, so we're now just hours behind instead of a season on some shows.

Marg, Criminal Minds is a fiction show--one-hour drama, unlike Court TV, although of course, they are drama, too :)

I LOVE this show!! It's the one show that I like that I can't watch online if I happen to miss it, so everyone knows that 8pm on Wednesdays they have to clear out of the TV room.
I really liked that play between Morgan and Reed's characters last week (and into this week's episode) about if you believe in the devil you have to believe in God. Morgan's struggle is so like many of faith have - bad things happen despite our praying about it.
And I agree that Joe Mantegna has some big shoes to fill.

So you mean all this time I could have been talking about this show with all these NazNetters?
Wish I had known.

I understand Wanda, just wondered if there was anyone that interested in the "criminal mind" that also watched Court TV. It is really facts and I do understand those that are at work all day like fiction to relax by.
I still wonder how many prisioners that have computers read NAZNET.
I am sure it is available.
Nice to hear from you Wanda.

This and numb3rs are my favorite shows. I like seeing brainiacs in action. :basic05
I like the psychological element on CM alot. The violent part of it though overwhelms me. So, I tape it and then fast forward over the parts I don't like. It also seems to have a quality about it that makes it seem more believable than other shows. Dunno why.

You really are resurrecting the old threads aren't you Susan? LOL I agree. I don't tape the show but sometimes I will "shield my eyes".
But mind you...I am trying to remember what episode it was that I found so "stunning" that I came to NazNet to talk about it. Hmmmm....

Oh yes...anything to get away from political stuff. And since I am fasting tv...I am trying to find different things to occupy my brain while eating my dinner. I was just about to post a reply to Ian's query on what did we eat today...and then decided that maybe I should give the blast from the past a rest.
I was wondering to what was so stunning...I think it was the one where Morgan was forced to talk to the priest by the new guy [joe mantena]?

Susan, you brought up Numb3rs as well...what did you think of last week's episode? In it Don was talking with his police shrink about looking for that "something" that he couldn't find in work or in himself...and he ended up in the closing scene at a Synagogue.

I loved that part. I saw in it what I hear from others that there is a need for something "greater" than myself. And that something is God. Since the family is portrayed as a non-religious Jewish, it would make sense that he would go to a synagogue. I like that much better than Larry's interest in the Buddhist monastery.

Larry's "journey" just smacked of trying to hard. Don's seemed more genuine. It's reasonable that he'd go back to his own roots. It left a big smile on my face.

In spite of being intrigued at how mind's work, the violence mentioned before turned me off, so it got turned off. There's enough "stuff" out there already that can cause nightmares, without watching violence, tho' I might like some of the rest of the show.

Just curious, in what way did Larry's journey seem to be trying to hard? You mean from the writers' view or from the character's view? I guess I was too distracted by the Buddhist part to think beyond that.

I was thinking from the writer's part. I don't necessarily buy it from a character's perspective. I'd expect agnosticism or atheism.

Ok.
I guess I didn't see it so much as trying too hard as just a sad reminder to me how lost the world is that that would be an option for Larry to stay.

We'll see where this leads, if anywhere! Wouldn't be nice if there were something of spiritual substance here.
We found a way to access the CBS video site here in Korea, so we can keep up with Numb3rs, and our other favorite, NCIS. Very disappointed that CBS in NOT putting up the full episodes of CM, though! No one seems to know why.
Anyone want to send out recordings?
Just kidding.

I get up first thing in the mornings and look at the news, email and Naznet. I got a shock the other day when I read this thread. In my dopey little mind, I forget that sometimes these threads start a long time ago and rest for awhile before being resurrected. So I open up this thread and am reading about one of my favorite shows and as I scroll down, I see that my husband ~ BRAD MERCER ~ has already responded to it. For just an instant, I could NOT figure out how y'all did that. How HE did that...
LOL I was, just for that instant, confused about why he'd respond to this thread when I haven't heard from him for nearly a year.
Then I looked up at the date and realized it was from around this time last year. It was funny and woke my sleepy brain up. :-)

That happened to me at first - I'd get all involved in a thread and then see his response and be all confused :basic02 But, I am learning now not to expect everything thread to have been started this week when I just am now seeing it.

Here is what wikipedia said was aired on Nov 21, 2007 - As Garcia fights for her life in this conclusion of a two-part episode, the BAU's search for her attacker leads the unit to believe the assailant could be someone close to the investigation.

I just watched my taping of last night's episode. I was wondering if those dreams weren't more than just a brainy kid's imagination, but that he actually saw it happening. And then when he saw the man in the basement, I just knew it had to be his father. I was right!

So another piece in the puzzle for Dr. Reed? He is by far my most favourite character.
I think one reason his character was created is that, with his photographic memory and personality quirks, he is compelled to give information and background when discussing a case that, in real life, the rest of the team would already know.
But the audience needs to know it so Reed's character makes that possible.

Had to click the "funny button," Karen, b/c I do recall those times after Danny was gone, too, when there could be confusion. For instance, might hear a noise some afternoon, & my mind would suggest for a split second that it was Danny coming home from work ... and then reality strikes again. So, I do understand this, for sure. Came back to add that this might happen, as well, when the phone would ring, and then ... nope, it wasn't Danny calling home.

Well, you can see that with the CSI shows. They usually seem to pull it off but Eric on CSI miami doesn't IMHO. But Spencer does it well.
He and the one that used to be on the show who spoke spanish are my favorites.
On Numb3rs, Larry is my favorite - what a HUGE vocabulary!

Should be an interesting episode tonight. Jason Alexander is guest starring and, judging from the previews, looks like he has an intriguing role.
