If you are healthy enough to be able to eat anything, enjoy your day and what is on your table! I am still going to watch what I eat, as my blood pressure is still on the high side. Thanks for all of you praying for me.
I am told that on this day in 1963 Pres JFK was shot in Texas.
Yesterday I believe was the anniversary of Lincolns Gettysburg Address. Since he had just lost his son in death a year or two before and since the son he had was deathly ill, there was some indecision whether Lincoln should go to Gettysburg or not, but he finally went. There was another speaker before him who went on speaking for almost 2 hours. A. Lincoln then got up and spoke his address for 10 mins or less? and it is remembered so much more than the first speaker. Many historians feel that it was here t this place that Lincoln became a Christian. As he looked over the battlefield burial grounds and realized the great sacrifice these men had made, he realized too the great sacrifice God made when He gave His only Son for us. It was then that Lincoln consecrated his heart to the Lord.
