Just across the valley from Mackay, ID at the base of Mt McCaleb is Lower Cedar Creek. About a mile up the creek from the trail head is a water fall. The fall is fed by a spring located about 200 feet above the canyon floor.

Wayne, thanks so much for sharing your pictures. You always cause me to sigh and sit quietly looking at God's creation.

What is amazing is the fact that it comes out of the rock between a horizontal and vertical rock formation. It is right at the tree line (7,000' MSL) and there is noting above it that seems to feed it. When the snow melts it runs down the right side of the spring. (The left side as you view the picture.) The cliff above the spring extends about 1000 feet above the spring.
I just love hiking in the Lost River Mountain Range!!!

Here is a YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctNa_MSuVYo) taken on my second trip to the Spring. (The wide angle lens tends to minimizes the size of the spring.)
