to start talking undefeated season for New England, and would it be incredibly ironic if it so happened that they did it and Miami did not win a game?

My brother and I were just talking about that during the game. We were wondering if it has ever happened in a season(I'm guessing not since there has only been one undefeated team ever, correct?). As much as it would be kind of fun to see N.E. go undefeated, wouldn't it be hard to keep it going through the playoffs? Yes they are a good and even a greaat team this year. But as with any team, it isn't necessarily good to enter the playoffs on a hot streak. I'm not sure that there is any team that can beat them as they have proved so far, however anything can happen in the playoffs. sorry for the rambling, just my late night thoughts. :basic02

The success the eagles had last night igainst the NE defence and the success the eagles had holding them to only 31 is going to make it more difficult. The nfl is a copycat league. Adn you have to knwo their next opponent can't wait to get their hands on the game film.

Wasn't there a team that went undefeated in the regular season, but lost in the playoffs?
I know the only winless team was Tampa. I think it was their first year.

Being a former Dolphin fan and a current Colts fan, NE is not high on my list of teams I would support. I still remember the snowplow incident!
I suggest we all wait to see what happens December 23 when Miami and NE play each other. We might see a repeat of a few years ago when Chicago, close to having an undefeated season, was routed by Miami on a Monday night. The Dolphins will have a lot of motivation on the 23rd. It is the next to last game of the season.
