Hey, what's this I'm hearing that the game will be on the premium NFL Network only?

Of all the low down, good for nothing, rotten.... :gen11

Just pretend its 1942 and you have to listen on the radio.

Of course, while once could listen to the Packers in 1942, the cowBoys hadn't been born yet....

It's on local free TV in the Dallas market, and I assume in Green Bay, too.

NFL network is the biggest joke they've ever come up with. They're deliberately trying to put good games there so people will get all mad and call their cable company and demand to get it moved to basic, except the NFL is charging too much for cable companies to be able to do that without raising rates by $5 a month.

While all this is going on, they continue to fight for DirecTV to have exclusive rights to the NFL Gameday plan, in which people who pay $300 can select any game they want the entire season.

I'm guessing if they allowed cable companies and other satellite providers to offer NFL Gameday (and thus make a lot of money), they might be willing to compromise and move the NFL network up the channels a bit.

I really can't figure out the NFL. DISH Network has for years tried to get rights to NFL Gameday as have cable companies. The NFL and the companies tend to make a lot more money if everyone was able to offer GameDay.

The problem is that the owners have too big an ego. The holdup is the NFL Network. Comcast offered them something like $400 million for the rights to broadcast the Thursday and Saturday games at the end of the each year. The owners thought they could make more money doing it themselves, this we have NFL network. They're using the popularity of NFL Gameday as leverage to get people to buy NFL Network, which would then make them more than $400 million and prove they were right all along, when they really weren't.

Actually, I think BOTH those teams have been to Super Bowls more recently than the Cowboys. :fav06:fav18:fav03

Knowing that a lot of people in the country will not see this game; I know that we will not, as we have time warner and don't plan on switching just for one station(especially NFL network). Cost wise I just don't think it would be worth just to switch because they want us to. If there is a game that a person really wanted to see of NFL network, a person could most easily go to a friend's house or a restaurant somewhere to watch it(just order a dessert or something if not hungry, right?:basic01). Anyhow, back to my mind point of posting. I found this yesterday. Not sure how much of the action it will show, what exactly will be show, etc. However, it does appear to be free and at least maybe worth looking at.http://www.nfl.com/live
