This showed up in my e-mail today:

Our Favre,
who art in Lambeau,
hallow be thy field.
We're 10 and 1,
Let Brett have fun
on turf, as it is in Dallas.
Give us this win,
for every cheesehead,
and forgive us our bad passes,
just as we intercept those who bad-pass against us.
And lead us not into blown coverage,
but deliver us from Romo.

Speaking of Romo: "Romo was born in San Diego, California while his father was serving there in the United States Navy. His family returned to its home in Burlington, Wisconsin when he was 2 years old. Playing quarterback for the Burlington Demons his junior and senior year of High School, ..." Burlington is just 30 minutes from here...

That's was good :thanks)

However, came back to add that I'm cheering for dallas. One because I like them, and two is I have Romo, Jones(RB), and Whitten(TE) on my fantasy football team. I don't watch a footbally game the same now that fantasy football is in my world. How did I ever watch a game without the fantasy part? It's definately changed the way people watch games.

Favre goes down and it's not the end of the world, even if it is the end of the winning streak. They'll get'em in Lambeau in January.

The most important thing about this win for Dallas is that it will keep them from having to play at Lambeau in January. For all practical purposes they have a two game lead over Green Bay for home field advantage since if they are tied at the end of regular season Dallas owns the first tie-break by virtue of their win last night. Green Bay definitely proved last night that Dallas would have a tough time of it at Lambeau. Anyone remember the Ice Bowl?

I now believe in Green Bay. A true championship team will not collapse when a key player goes down. The Packer's threatening in the second half with their second string QB says a lot about the team. It has always been an odd experience for me watching Green Bay/Dallas games since I always root for the Packers when they're not playing the Cowboys. High on my list of favorite all time quarterbacks is Bart Starr, just behind Don Meredith, Roger Staubach, Danny White, Troy Aikman, and Tony Romo.

I have pretty much always loathed the Cowboys, but I respected them a lot until Jerry Jones got there. How could you not respect guys like Schramm, Landry, Staubach?

Since then they have been pretty much a classless organization, as evidenced by the drug houses/brothels that seem to have been in vogue during their 1990's dominance. Jimmy Johnson had no class at OSU; he had none at Miami; he had none at Dallas...and his players reflected that.

And the organizational arrogance doesn't help, either. I'm an American and they never bothered to ask me if they were MY team before they christened themselves.

Dallas was one of my favorites in the Tom Landry days but Barry Switzer and Jim Jones ended that favor or whatever the name of the owner is, which proves I really don't care enough about that team to make sure the name is correct.

Jim Jones died in Jonestown, while Landry was still the Cowboys' coach. :basic05

It's strange, Billy. I know a lot of guys are into fantasy football for the reasons you are. For me it's just the opposite. Keeping track of stats etc. for "my" players seems like too much work. :q) I just enjoy watching the game.
Anyway, good luck with your team.
