Guiness book of World Records. NCN reports that Senior Pastor Jeff Liles of the Watonga, OK Church of the Nazarene hits 1415 free throws in one hour. This is particularly interesting to me because Pastor Liles was a 6th grade student of mine at Wiley Post Elementary in northwest Oklahoma City the year after a financial crisis at BNC forced a faculty cut in 1972 which included me. Dr. Poteet, I believe you know Jeff and was wondering if you have mentored him in his pursuit? I still would like to get the Idaho Stampede, Boise State University, NNU and the local school districts sponsor a freethrow clinic here in the Boise area,

He spoke at a camp I attended in the 90's. I beat him at knock out one time (and lost about 50 times).

We talk once in a while and shoot against each other sometimes. Jeff's approach is to see how fast he can shoot free throws. I think he hold the record for the most free throws in five minutes, 10 minutes and now one hour. I don't what his record is for the most in a row. I know that when he set the record for the most free throws in one hour, he averaged making 85 out of every 100. I shoot slower and try to see how many I can make in a row. One night at the gym, I was fortunate enough to hit 489 in a row.

I was a counselor on Missouri District at Middler Camp when he spoke and put on clinic for basketball for the camp in 2000.
